Who is Rooster?

Royce Vallejo is Rooster. Royce was born in Great Falls, Montana. Royce has worked in crafting leather products for fifteen years, as a professional taxidermist and leather braider and more recently a saddle maker.

Royce started building knife sheaths for his close friend Rod Chappel (builder of the Original Conan the Barbarian sword) and then started a small taxidermy shop in Seattle, Washington. He started working on saddles and tack while in Seattle.

He was trained and worked under David Morgan (of Indiana Jones bullwhips fame) braiding bullwhips and other braided leather products.

Royce attended the Spokane Falls Community College saddle making school in Spokane, WA. In the fall of 2004 Royce established Rooster's Saddlery, LLC., to create custom built saddles and tack for all equine enthusiast.

Royce has also worked as a hunting guide over the last several years for Sun Canyon Outfitters . Royce has traveled by horseback on most of the trails in and around the Bob Marshal wilderness area (see picture above).
